Are you a doctor, nurse, therapist, member of the clergy, teacher, or counselor? How much training did you get to work with your clients’ sexuality concerns? If you’re like most other professionals, your answer is probably “none.”
Research shows that many of your clients would like to be able to talk with you about sex and relationships, but they often hold back because they don’t know if it’s appropriate or if you’re knowledgeable. It’s up to you to let them know that you have the information and skills to respond and to invite them to talk with you.
That can be challenging. Many professionals refrain from asking about their clients’ sex lives because they don’t want to create any discomfort. And when the topic is does come up, it’s often left to the client to educate their therapist or doctor about their sexual practices or relationships. Not only is this is hard on the client, it reduces professional credibility and inhibits trust.
When you consult with me, you’ll have the benefit of a professional sexologist who has intensively studied sexuality for over two decades. I offer:
