Are you a doctor, nurse, therapist, member of the clergy, teacher, or counselor? How much training did you get to work with your clients’ sexuality concerns? If you’re like most other professionals, your answer is probably “none.”
Research shows that many of your clients would like to be able to talk with you about sex and relationships, but they often hold back because they don’t know if it’s appropriate or if you’re knowledgeable. It’s up to you to let them know that you have the information and skills to respond and to invite them to talk with you.
That can be challenging. Many professionals refrain from asking about their clients’ sex lives because they don’t want to create any discomfort. And when the topic is does come up, it’s often left to the client to educate their therapist or doctor about their sexual practices or relationships. Not only is this is hard on the client, it reduces professional credibility and inhibits trust.
When you consult with me, you’ll have the benefit of a professional sexologist who has intensively studied sexuality for over two decades. I offer:
- high-level summary of the clinically relevant issues
- access to available research
- understanding personal views vs. clinical interpretation of the situation
- relevant resources to help your professional growth
- connection to additional professionals who can offer their input
- real tools for you to help others with their questions or concerns about sex and relationships.
Save yourself the difficulty of climbing the learning curve and get the information you need to offer the most effective care to your clients. We can do our sessions by phone or Skype. Sessions are $75 for 20 minutes or $200 for an hour.
Here’s what some of my colleagues have said about me:
“Charlie offers a much needed approach in the field of sex education and sexual health and I’ve really appreciated the opportunity to hear him speak on a panel and present a workshop. He combines knowledge, practicality, humor, and compassion – a powerful combination when it comes to sex!”
–Dr. Jenn Gunsaullus, San Diego, CA
“Charlie Glickman is one of the finest educators in the field of sexuality. He has the rare and unique ability to combine his vast knowledge with an engaging and welcoming style, regardless of topic. I am incredibly picky about the people on my referral list, and Charlie is someone I can recommend without reservation.”
–Dr. Ruth Neustifter
Assistant Professor, Couples & Family Therapy
Guelph, Ontario, Canada
“I’ve worked professionally with Charlie on several occasions co-running workshops about pain with sex. As a physical therapist that specializes in pelvic floor disorders, including pain with sex, I manage the musculoskeletal aspects of such disorders, but I completely look to Charlie and his expertise in sex to compliment my work. He has an enormous wealth of knowledge as well as a huge referral network of other professionals that specialize in various aspects of sex and intimacy. He is a great resource!”
